Everything is ready for "take off": daily over 500 participants, 60 Sessions and 9 Industry-Workshops on 4 days, 240 invited chairs and speakers, over 100 oral abstract-presenters and 240 posters devided in daily poster sessions guaratee a highly scientific exchange. Furthermore to this, 50 exhibitors are going to present their latest products and developments in the field of laboratory medicine on 2000 m2.
The Swiss Society of Microbiology launched with - for the society revolutionary - five individual symposias within the different fields of the society that are: Clinical Microbiology – Prokaryotic Biology – Virology – Environmental Microbiology and Mycology. In the evening, following this fulminant start, a “students party" took of at Eventforum Bern - not only students enjoyed the gathering.
The 5th «Gesundheitspolitische Tagung der SULM: Nutzen der Labormedizin» opened the angle of view towards the benefit of laboratory medicine. “Evolution” was the SSM-motto on Tuesday and Wednesday with several outstanding plenary lectures.
Annual assemblies of FAMH and SSM, a session on regulatory affairs and of course the Gala-Dinner completed a rich and intense day.

The two keynotes on «Big Data» and «Outcome» set focus on todays plenary lectures, a colorful bouquet on varios aspets of big data and outcome. labmed's general assembly took place and after three intense days the SSM closing lecture gave a positive summary and looked forward to the 75th meeting in Basle.
